A commando (11.5" barrel) M16 is shown firing a burst of 10 rounds of M855 ammunition each,. one with the standard USGI birdcage flash hider and the other equipped with the Vortex® flash hider. The idfference is amazing. If I had not been there, I would not have believed it. Another great product is the Smith Enterprise muzzle break for the M14. This controls muzzle rise during firing.
